April 9th, 2022
Due to the postponement of Fiesta 2021 to June, and after much deliberation with the Fiesta San Antonio Commission leadership and Dr. Martin Adel Makary, the Executive Board of the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade Association, Inc. voted to cancel the Fiesta Flambeau Parade for 2021. The Fiesta Flambeau® Parade is one of the highlights of Fiesta’s 11-day celebration, and although we will all miss the lights, floats and marching merriment, the Association’s primary concern is the health and safety of our spectators, participants and volunteers. Unfortunately, several members of our Association have lost their lives to the COVID-19 virus
This year would have been the 73rd year that the Fiesta Flambeau Parade lighted up the streets of San Antonio. The 2022 Parade is scheduled for April 9, and the Association looks forward to welcoming more than 750,000 spectators to watch and enjoy this award winning, internationally recognized parade featuring participants from not only San Antonio and Texas, but throughout the United States and Mexico. We are already busy planning for 2022 and looking forward to bringing our fans a celebration they will remember for many years. Viva Fiesta!
